HomesteadCS is a non-profit HUD-certified Housing Counseling Agency offering Education and Consulting Assistance to all homeowners and potential homeowners regardless of income. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We serve families in Tippecanoe, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Putnam, Warren, and White Counties. Our agency is certified by the State of Indiana to offer HomeBuyer Counseling, Education, and Foreclosure Prevention Counseling. Our counselors are certified by the State of Indiana, NeighborWorks America, and NCHEC to offer Pre and Post-purchase Counseling, Foreclosure Prevention, and Reverse Mortgage Counseling.

The mission of HomesteadCS is to provide education and other resources to increase affordable, sustainable housing opportunities and financial stability in the communities we serve and to be a catalyst for the development and revitalization of our neighborhoods.

It is the vision of HomesteadCS to be nationally recognized as a premier provider of programs that enable homeowners, potential homeowners and tenants to make informed decisions about their housing options and to achieve long-term affordable housing.

In the wake of the COVID-19 virus pandemic, HomesteadCS, along with many other businesses in the community, have been impacted in ways we had never foreseen. Our offices are currently closed to walk in traffic but we are still working from remote sites to serve you. All calls are answered and services are still being provided. This is being handled through telephone and computer conversations now versus traditional face to face meetings. If you have questions, call. All phone calls are automatically routed to cellphones and all e-mails are accessed remotely. Documents may still be submitted by e-mail, mail or fax. If you wish to drop off a payment or document, there is a drop box accessible inside our front door. Receipts will be mailed back to you and original documents copied and returned. Normal operations are not suspended, just different. When the danger is past we will re-open and operate normally once again. In the meantime, stay safe.
